Marzieh Boroumand Honored at Theater Festival for Children and Young Adults

During the closing ceremony of the 22nd International Theater Festival for Children and Young Adults held in Hamedan on October 6, 2015 veteran Iranian director Marzieh Borumand was honored for her lifetime achievements in the field.

Borumand is most famous for her hits “Grandmother’s Home” and “School of Mice”, two popular puppet series from the 1980s.

About fifty theater troupes from Italy, Germany, Finland, Russia, England and Iran gave performances and also held workshops during the five-day festival.
